Not much. Reputable sites suggest eating less and exercising more; cooking at home instead of eating out; don’t drink soda and limit juice; and make it a family affair. What if you are doing all that and it doesn’t help? See your child’s doctor, who can monitor his/her BMI over time and recommend a nutritionist or structured weight loss program.

This blog is for kids and teens who want to achieve a healthy weight and for their parents who want to help them. Oh, and parents, you’ll probably lose a few pounds too.
